I found a new love: It’s “ON” (RUNNING SHOE TOP 5)

A runner and their shoes can be a love/hate relationship.  It can make or break your training and can be a difference maker in achieving your PR or just maintaining health in the daily grind of training.

I’ve been running since I was 12 years old and I was a shoe salesman at Jenkintown Running Company which helped lead me to chosen profession.

I can use my running shoes as a timetable and I wanted to share my favorites and talk about my newest love!

1. Nike Air Icarus (First pair of running shoes)

Loved that they were Navy and Grey, introduced me to running.  No Frills, must be sentimental, like your first girlfriend…

2. Nike Air Max 95.  (Senior Year Cross Country)

This is a great memory, good season and this still is my favorite shoe put out by Nike of all time.

3. Asics Gel Kayano (Orange and Blue ones):  The pair I wore were the 1997 edition. So light, so supportive.  Owned about 5 pairs.

4. Adidas Boston (LaSalle University)

La Salle University was sponsored by Adidas while I was steeple chasing and I wore about 4 pairs of this shoe. Lots of miles and never had a problem or a complaint!

And now, I found another love:

1. On Cloud

This shoe is so lightweight and responsive, I am looking forward to purchasing about 5 pairs so I don’t lose out on this love. My legs feels great on any terrain.

On Cloud Olive / Flame

But who is “On”

– Swiss engineerd, performance running shoes created by world class triathlete Olivier Bernhard, with a dynamic outsole that absorbs impact forces by allowing more horizontal motion.  Feel free to check them out and give them a try at on-running.com.

So runners:  Do you have a top five?  Go down Memory Lane with me and share in the comments below, I’d love to share it with my patients!

Talking about racing Spikes——Before many of you were born
    Adidas Tokyo 64’s
Blue Kangaroo uppers, Suede, One of the first nylon spike plates
An extra padded heel that approximated the calcaneal tubercles.
And the amazing thing is this shoe was worn in 100 meters up to and including the10,000 meters.

Nice lists by the both you, Kyle and Howard Palamarchuk. Nice to see you share my love for the Boston’s. I’d like to get my hands on a pair of these legendary Tokyo 64’s!
